Malfunction Indicator Lamp

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Once per driving cycle.

Enable criteria:

Preheating active.

Coolant temperature between 5°C and 114°C.

Intake air temperature between 5°C and 75°C.

Engine load 2 - 33 g/s.

Vehicle speed below 2.5 km/h.

Fault criteria:

Closed loop lambda control actuated too little or not at all during test.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:

Insufficient air flow to the exhaust system when secondary air injection pump is active.

Pump fault, clogged/leaking pipes and faulty valves.
