On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
Battery voltage must be between 10 - 18 V.
Fuel level between 15% and 85%.
Atmospheric pressure greater than 680 kPa.
Difference between atmospheric pressure and boost pressure is less than 480 Pa.
In order to run diagnostics, the vehicle must first be run at idling speed and then at a speed up to 30 km/h.
Fault criteria:
Sensor pressure signal does not match the expected start pressure.
Sensor pressure signal does not drop enough when tank purge is active. Drop less than 80 Pa.
Sensor pressure signal oscillates too much.
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
