Heated oxygen sensor, lower 4WD (593), B207

Warning

The exhaust pipe from the turbocharger can be extremely hot. Proceed with caution.


To remove


1. Unplug the connector (A) for the oxygen sensor and carefully lower the cable.


2. Raise the car.

3. Remove the lower turbocharger pressure pipe (B).


4. Route the cable forward and remove the oxygen sensor (C).



To fit


1. Lubricate the threads sparingly with 90 513 210 Universal paste and fit the oxygen sensor (C).

Tightening torque 40 Nm (30 lbf ft).

Important

Make sure cables to the oxygen sensor are not twisted or damaged.


2. Lift up the oxygen sensor cable, making sure it does not get pinched or is exerted to chafing.

3. Fit the turbocharger delivery pipe (B).

Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft)


4. Lower the car.

5. Plug in the oxygen sensor connector and secure it (A).
