New recalibrated software for the Z19 DTR engine
|
Saab 9-3 MY 08-10 with Z19 DTR (EDC16 C39).
During certain driving conditions with repeated short distance driving
and interrupted regenerations, unburnt fuel from the regeneration process
can mix with the engine oil resulting in oil dilution.
This phenomenon causes increased volume on the engine oil dipstick.
In worst cases this can cause engine to over rev resulting in severe engine
damage.
Short distance or slow speed driving in combination with repeated interruption
of DPF (diesel particle filter) regeneration process.

using MDI + laptop
Please note:
If the oil is contaminated with
fuel and/or above the maximum level on the oil dipstick then oil and filter
should be replaced.
