To remove


1. Remove the battery cover.

2. Remove the battery cables:


• Disconnect the negative battery cable (A).

• Disconnect the positive cable of the battery (B).

• Detach the battery drain hose.

3. Release the bolt (C) of the battery lock lug and lift out the battery.


To fit


1. Position the battery and push back until the back edge is fastened.

2. Mount the lock lug (C).

Important

Check that the battery is properly secured.



3. Mount the battery cables:

• Connect the positive cable of the battery (B).

• Connect the negative battery cable (A).

Important

Cars with OnStar: The battery clamp must be fitted so that no part of it extends in front of the battery.


• Attach the battery drain hose.

4. Fit the battery cover.

5. On a change of battery capacity, program the BCM.

6. Carry out Procedures after disconnecting the battery .
