Remove the battery cover.

| 2. |
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the upper engine cover and the sound insulation.
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the starter motor's upper bolts (A) and the bracket (B).
|
|
| 5. |
Raise the car.
|
|
| 6. |
CV:
Remove
chassis reinforcement, front subframe

| 7. |
Remove the lower engine cover (A).
|
|
| 8. |
Detach the starter motor connecting cables (A).
|
|
| 9. |
Detach the ground cable (B) from the lower stud on the starter motor.
|
|
| 10. |
Remove the lower stud from the starter motor (C).
|
|
| 11. |
Lower the starter motor and lift it out.
|
|
| To fit |
| 1. |
Lift the starter motor into place and thread the lower stud.
|
|
| 2. |
Lower the car.
|
|
| 3. |
Fit the bracket (B) and the starter motor's upper bolts (A).
Tightening torque 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)
|
|
| 4. |
Raise the car.
|
|
| 5. |
Tighten the lower stud (C).
Tightening torque 24 Nm (18 lbf ft)
|
|
| 6. |
Attach the starter motor connecting cables (A).
|
|
| 7. |
Attach the ground cable to the lower stud (B).
|
|
| 8. |
Fit the lower engine cover (A).
|
|
| 9. |
CV:
Fit
chassis reinforcement, front subframe

Lower the car.
|
|
| 11. |
Fit the negative battery cable.
|
|

Fit the battery cover.
