|
1 - Microphone not working, (Cars with Tel 1)
The microphone is connected for Telematic operation.
For use with a hands-free telephone kit you have to connect to the additional
3 pin connector, (marked with yellow tape)positioned adjacent to the microphone.
(Connector 375), it may be necessary to swap the wires in positions 1 &
2 at the microphone if the volume is too low.
Sat.Nav equipped vehicles have 2 microphones, if only one is fitted
then another will be required for voice equipped operation (future development).
If 2 are fitted, use the right-hand microphone for telephone.
2 - ICM does not switch off after mute, radio stays on after key is
removed.
Upgrade ICM software, use software included in TIS 2003-1 update 1 or
later.
(Cars from VIN 31002454 - 31016272)
3 - Poor sound from speakers during calls
If a hands-free kit has been fitted that doesn't have the adapter interface
cable to EHU there is a risk that a capacitor in EHU will be damaged.
In some cases this will go back to normal but more often the EHU must
be replaced. (a damaged EHU will only affect the sound from Telephone, not
the radio).
See TA GB 02 / 022 for details of how to install the capacitor cable
(pt no 40 -12 802 036).
