Clopper noise from front shock absorbers at low speed

VEHICLES CONCERNED

Saab 9-3Sport Sedan, Sport Combi with engine L850 (B207) and 1,9 TID/2,2 Diesel.

CONDITIONS

When driving on rough surfaces at lower speed below 20 km/h.

SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION

A clopper noise (small dull knocking noise) can be heard when shock waves, (internal in the shock absorbers), occurs when the piston turns from compression to rebound.

ACTION

Change Front struts Part No:

- B207, 1,9 TID with Standard Chassis P /N 12775930 (LH) and 12775931 (RH)

- B207, 1,9 TID with Sport Chassis P/N 12775932 (LH) and 12775933 (RH)

Please note that you need to order both LH and RH P /N at the same time.

Due to a limited quantity, these shock absorber will be blocked as spare parts and when placing an order through ordinary spare parts system, it is also required that a mail is sent to Saab Parts, explaining why you'll need these shock absorbers. We will release the shock absorber after receiving order number and motivation.
