Lower suspension arm, 4WD

To remove


1. Remove Spring, 4WD .

2. Left suspension arm on car with xenon headlights : Remove the level sensor control rod (A) from the suspension arm.


3. Remove the lower suspension arm mounting (A) from the steering swivel member.

Important

The bolt must be screwed out and in respectively or there is risk that the hole will be "reamed" by the threads.



4. Mark the position of the adjuster screw (A). Remove the adjuster screw and nut. Lift the suspension arm away.



To fit


1. Fit the lower suspension arm with adjuster screw (A) and a new nut.

2. Lift up the lower suspension arm toward the steering swivel member. Fit the bolt (A) and a new nut.

Important

The bolt must be screwed out and in respectively or there is risk that the hole will be "reamed" by the threads.



3. Raise the steering swivel member to normal position 374 mm (A) between the drive shaft centre and the wing edge.


4. Tighten the nut (A) of the suspension arm mounting to the steering swivel member.

Tightening torque: 75 Nm +90° (55 lbf ft +90°)


5. Tighten the nut of the lower suspension arm adjuster screw as marked.

Tightening torque 75 Nm +60° (55 lbf ft +60°)


6. Remove the jack.

7. Left suspension arm on car with xenon headlights : Fit the level sensor control rod (A) to the suspension arm.


8. Fit Spring, 4WD .
