Tailgate trim

To remove


1. Open the tailgate.

2. Remove the upper window cover plate.


3. Remove the side cover plates.


4. Remove the speaker grilles.


5. Remove the two-stage rivets using 84 71 179 Removal tool, clips .

6. Remove the trim screws.

7. Remove the trim by pulling it straight down.


To fit


1. Fit the trim clips on the tailgate.


2. Put in place the trim and press in the trim clips.


3. Fit the trim screws.

4. Fit the two-stage rivets

5. Fit the speaker grilles.

6. Fit the side cover plates.


7. Fit the upper window cover plate.


8. Check the fit of the trim.
