On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Continually

Enable criteria:

Engine Run

Fault criteria:

Faulty signal from sensor.

System reaction to a fault:

The control module uses "Estimated ethanol content" as a substitute value.

Checking the wiring harness

Jiggle the wiring harness at several points to detect intermittent breaks or short circuits. Check also the connector for oxidation or loose pins.
