Speed-dependent volume
Speed-dependent volume |
General |
Automatic volume control that is regulated by vehicle speed to compensate for the background noise that occurs when the vehicle is in motion. The function is active at speeds above 25 km/h (16 mph).
One of the following settings for the function's sensitivity can be selected:
• |
Off
(no compensation)
|
• |
Low
(little compensation)
|
• |
Med
(medium compensation)
|
• |
High
(much compensation)

Function |
The ESP control module transmits a speed signal on the P-bus that is read by MIU. MIU transmits information on the I-bus that the head unit can read to regulate volume. The level is increased when speed increases and decreased when speed decreases.
