Complete unit, differential clutch and limited slip differential

Warning

The hydraulic pressure in the differential clutch is very high. Wait for at least 10 minutes before removing any parts from the differential clutch.


To remove


1. Carry out Before changing a control module .

2. Remove Drive shafts, rear, 4WD left and right-hand sides.

3. Remove Complete exhaust system, 4WD .

4. Remove Propeller shaft .

5. Release the catches (A) from the control module and remove the protective cover (B) from the hydraulic pump.


6. Loosen the cable clip (A)


7. Remove the electrical connector (A).

Important

Be careful that the differential clutch control module does not get damaged.



8. Use a column jack as support for the differential clutch, secured with straps (A).


9. Remove the bolts (B) to the differential clutch and limited slip differential.

10. Lower the differential clutch and limited slip differential.


To fit

Important

Be careful that the differential clutch control module does not get damaged.



1. Use a column jack as support for the differential clutch, secured with straps (A).


2. Raise the differential clutch and limited slip differential.

3. Fit the bolts (B) to the differential clutch and limited slip differential.

Tightening torque 90 Nm (66.3 lbf ft) +90°+15°

4. Fit the electrical connector (A).


5. Fit the cable clip (A).


6. Fit Propeller shaft .

7. Fit Complete exhaust system, 4WD .

8. Fit Drive shafts, rear, 4WD , left and right-hand sides.

9. Fit the Protective cover (B) on the hydraulic pump and lock the catches (A) to the control module.



When replaced, carry out After changing a control module .
