Malfunction Indicator Lamp
On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
| Engine temperature between 0°C and 95°C. |
| Calculated oil temperature below 120°C. |
| After engine start but before dynamic cam angle adjustment is activated, the angle deviation between the camshaft position sensors and crankshaft position sensor is adapted. |
| No fault on the camshaft position sensor or solenoid. |
Fault criteria:
| The adapted value corresponds to the chain poorly meshed at min. one tooth for the relevant camshaft. |
Diagnostic help
Diagnosis regards:
| Poorly fitted timing chain, popped chain, worn-out chain. |

| • | Deviation from Requested Intake Cam Angle Bank 2 |
| • | Intake Cam Angle Solenoid Bank 2 |
