Fault symptom

Malfunction Indicator Lamp

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Continuous

Enable criteria:

Vehicle speed 0 km/h.

Coolant temperature above 75°C.

Intake air temperature above -10.5°C.

Secondary air pump must not be active.

Purge not active

Idling at least 5 seconds.

Fault criteria:

Engine speed exceeds requested idling speed by more than 200 rpm for more than 10 s.

Diagnostic help

Diagnosis regards:

Air leak after throttle or blocked throttle.

IMPORTANT

A crankcase ventilation leak may be one reason as to why a DTC is set. Check crankcase ventilation function before starting regular troubleshooting.
