An endoscope adapted to the automotive industry makes it possible to quickly and safety check spots that are difficult to access. Without expensive disassembly, you can check areas such as the cylinder walls and valve seats as well as rusting on the body.
There are two types of systems - hot light and cold light. In a hot light system, the lamp sits at the tip of the endoscope while the cold light system has a separate lamp, i.e. fibre lighting, at the tip of the endoscope. An endoscope with fibre lighting is preferable, particularly if you are checking spaces where there is fluid or if you need strong lighting.
A standard or digital camera can be connected to many pieces of equipment in order to document a check.
