Special tools are listed and illustrated in this section by means of a complete list at the end of the section. These tools, or equivalent, are designed especially so that they can perform the tasks for which they are designed, quickly and safely. Use of these special tools also minimises the risk of damage to engine components. Some precision measurement tools are required for checking certain important components. Torque wrenches and angle gauges are needed for correct tightening of various mounting elements.
To carry out an engine service correctly, the following must be readily accessible:
