| 1. | 
        Undo the expansion tank cap and remove the upper engine cover.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 2. | 
        Raise the car.
         | 
      |
| 3. | 
        Undo the right-hand side of the front spoiler shield (A) and fold it down.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 4. | 
        Place a receptacle under the radiator, connect a hose to the radiator and drain the coolant. Close the cock (B). Fit the spoiler shield.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Lower the car.
         | 
      |
| 7. | 
        Remove the thermostat housing:
         | 
      |
| • | 
        Undo the hose clips (A) and detach the hoses from the thermostat housing.
         
        
         | 
      
| • | 
        Remove the bolts (B) and lift the thermostat housing out of the cylinder head.
         | 
      
| To fit | 
| 1. | 
        1. Fit the thermostat housing:
         | 
      |
| • | 
        Fit the thermostat housing with a new gasket and the bolts (B).
         Tightening torque 25 Nm (18 lbf ft)  
        
         | 
      
| • | 
        Attach the coolant hoses and fit the hose clips (A) on the thermostat housing.
         | 
      
| 2. | 
        Reposition and attach the turbocharger delivery hose to the turbocharger delivery pipe. Tighten the hose clips on the turbocharger delivery pipe (B) and the throttle body (A).

| 3. | 
        Pressure test the cooling system, see

| 4. | 
        Fit the upper engine cover.
         
        
         | 
      |
| 5. | 
        Fill with
        
         40 - 93 170 402 Coolant
        
        and bleed the system, see
        
         Filling and bleeding the cooling system, Z19
