Theft protection
Theft protection |
General |
The audio system is equipped with electronic theft protection. The relevant theft protection information is a code specific to the vehicle in which the audio system is installed. Theft protection is programmed using the diagnostic tool.
Function |
Theft protection is designed to prevent theft by the head unit being “married” to the vehicle. If there is no “marriage”, "LOCKED" is displayed during any attempt to activate the audio system.
The audio system regularly checks that theft protection information is correct (that there has been a “marriage”). This also occurs if +30 is temporarily disconnected. If the information is not correct "LOCKED" appears on the display.
Important | ||
The diagnostic tool must be used to “marry/divorce” the audio system and the vehicle. Divorce can only be done in the original vehicle and with the correct key inserted in the ignition switch. |
