To remove |
1. |
Remove
Battery cover, lower section
.

Remove
Bumper cover, front

3. |
Remove the right-hand air shield.
|
4. |
Place a container under the car.
|
5. |
Remove as much power steering fluid as possible from the power steering's fluid reservoir.
|
6. |
Remove the return hose from the power steering fluid reservoir and plug the hose (D).
|
7. |
Open clamp (C) and (E).
|
8. |
Lower the car to the floor.
|
9. |
Remove the pipe connection from the steering gear (B).
|
10. |
Remove the fixtures (A).
|
11. |
Lift the return line up.
|
12. |
Wipe up any spilt fluid.

To fit |
1. |
Position the return line and install the fixtures (A).
|
2. |
Install the return line to the steering gear with new O-ring and tighten (B).
Tightening torque 28 Nm (21 lbf ft) |
3. |
Lower the car to the floor.

4. |
Connect the return hose to the power steering fluid reservoir with a new clamp.
|
5. |
Secure the pipe to the subframe with clamp (C) and (E).
|
6. |
Fit the right-hand air shield.
|
7. |
Install
Battery cover, lower section

8. |
Fill with fluid and bleed the power steering steering system, see
Hydraulic system EHPS, filling and bleeding, A20NFT/LHU
.

9. |
Install
Bumper cover, front
resp.
Bumper cover, front, 9-3X

10. |
Bleed the power steering system, see
Hydraulic system EHPS, filling and bleeding, A20NFT/LHU
or
Hydraulic system EHPS, filling and bleeding, A19DTR
.

11. |
Wipe off any excess power steering fluid from the car.
