Rear floor assembly, CV

Removing


1. Position the car in an aligning bench and align if necessary

2. Remove the Rear bumper abutment, CV .

3. Cut the floor as indicated by the marks. The cut must be made so that the replacement piece overlaps by approximately 20 mm.


4. Drill out the spot-welds.

5. Remove the floor and align any damaged sheet metal or panels.


Fitting


1. Grind all the surfaces that are to be welded.

2. Apply welding primer to the surfaces to be plug or spot welded.

3. Cut and align the rear floor. The cut must be made so that the replacement piece overlaps by approximately 20 mm. Secure with clamps.


4. Weld the floor in place.


5. Smooth off the welds.

6. Remove any remaining welding primer. Welding primer reduces adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.

7. Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces.

8. Seal joints and seams with sealant.

9. Apply PVC substitute on the underside of the floor.

10. Apply a thin anti-corrosion agent to the members and cavities after painting

11. Fit the Rear bumper abutment, CV .
