The illustrations show the right-hand side of a RHD car.


1. Drill out the spot welds on the suspension tower. (The lower illustration is taken from underneath.)


2. Tap out the suspension tower.


To fit


1. Straighten and grind the surfaces of the replacement panel and body that are to be welded.

2. Apply welding primer to the surfaces that are to be plug or spot welded.

3. Fit the replacement panel in place and secure it with some welding clamps.

4. Secure the suspension tower with spot and plug welds.


5. Grind the welds.

6. Wash away surplus welding primer. Welding primer reduces the adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.

7. Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces.

8. Seal joints and seams with sealant.

9. Apply rust protector after painting. Use Terotex HV 400.
