If the lug is loose:
Secure it with a clamp and cut a V-joint. |

If the lug is off:
Cut a V-joint. |
3. |
Identify the type of plastic. See

Select the correct welding wire and set the welding gun to an operating temperature appropriate for the plastic type. See

5. |
Weld the lug in place.
|
6. |
Cut a V-joint on the other side.
|
7. |
Follow around with the welding wire and continue welding on the other side.
|
8. |
Warm the ends of the welding wire and pinch them together to avoid fracture indication.
|
9. |
Cut the welding wire at the ends.
|
10. |
Grind the weld as necessary.
