On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
| Engine running more than 10 seconds. |
| Engine speed more than 400 rpm. |
| Air mass between 20 - 2000 mg/C. |
Fault criteria:
| The control module detects that the circuit is open for more than 7,5 seconds. |
System reaction to a fault:
| The ignition is lowered to minimise the risk of engine damage. |
Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points to detect intermittent breaks or short circuits. Check also the connector for oxidation or loose pins.

| Electrical fault in connecting leads or component. |
