On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
The following diagnostic trouble codes may not be generated: |
P0111, P0112, P0113, P0114 |
P0116, P0117, P0118, P0119 |
P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204 |
Battery voltage must be between 11 - 16 V. |
Engine speed between 1200 and 2200 rpm. |
Engine running longer than 60 s. |
Engine speed between 1000 and 3500 rpm. |
Preheating active for more than 180 s. |
Closed loop lambda control active. |
Vehicle speed between 65-119 Km/h. |
EVAP, leak diagnosis inactive (if OBD II). |
Calculated catalytic converter temperature between 500-900°C. |
Fault criteria:
When the voltage across the sensor has not exceed 875 mV. |
OK report:
Fault criteria NOT fulfilled. |

Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
