SCM / P2635 00
Read the instructions below then
start the fault diagnostic procedure.
Symptom: CHECK ENGINE
Fuel Pump Flow Performance
Fault symptom
CHECK ENGINE
On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
Engine running more than 30 seconds. |
The following diagnostic trouble codes may not be generated: |
Fault criteria:
Requested pressure from ECM does not correspond with the measured pressure. |
System reaction to a fault:
SCM requests CHECK ENGINE lamp lit by ECM. |
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
Diagnostic help
Diagnosis regards:
To find an electrical or mechanical fault. |

This DTC is also set when the fuel in the tank runs out. |
____________________________________ |
Desired fuel pressure is adjusted via the fuel pump's PWM control. During a slow change or aging, the system compensates for such in order to obtain the desired pressure. The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the pump/system capacity worsens, e.g. leakage, clogged fuel pipe and pump fault. |
