Checking the resistance of the detonation circuit

Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 

Unplug the yellow connector to circuit 2

Connect reference resistor 86 12 095 to the yellow connector

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Contact Airbag.

Test value:

Air-bag, passenger, step 2.

• Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.

The reading obtained should be 1.5 - 4.5 ohm
