Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (LAU)

/ 9-4x / 2011 / 2. Engine / Basic engine, V6 / Adjustment/replacement / Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (LAU)

Removal Procedure

1.	Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hose. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement - Dipstick to Air Outlet Duct .

2.	Remove the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt (1).

3.	Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement - Left Side (LAU) .

4.	Remove the oil level indicator and tube (2) from the lower crankcase.

5.	Remove the O-ring from the oil level indicator tube (2).

Installation Procedure

1.	Install the NEW O-ring (1) on the oil level indicator tube (2).

2.	Install the oil level indicator and tube (2).

3.	Install the exhaust manifold heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement - Left Side (LAU) .

4.	Refer to Fastener Caution Install the oil level indicator tube bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in) .

5.	Install the positive crankcase ventilation hose. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube Replacement - Dipstick to Air Outlet Duct .
