Rear Differential Drive Flange Bolts and Retainers (Qty: 3)

Procedure
1.
|
Mark a reference point between the propeller shaft and the flange.
|
2.
|
Using the appropriate tools, remove the flange bolts and the retainers.
|
3.
|
Use the
DT 49064
puller , if needed to remove the propeller shaft.
|
Mark up the position with spray paint, to avoid vibrations after installation. Support with a bottle jack and
DT-49035
holder.
Tighten
36 Nm (27 lb ft)

Support Bearing Mounting Bolts (Qty: 4)
Procedure

Support the support bearings with jack stands.
|
3.
|
Clean threads of all residue of the old threader locker.
|
Tighten
58 Nm (43 lb ft)

Propeller Shaft
Procedure
1.
|
Using the
DT-49030
fork , remove the propeller shaft from the transfer case.
|
2.
|
It may be necessary to have the help of an assistant to remove the propeller shaft.
