Driver or Passenger Seat Outer Adjuster Finish Cover Replacement

Remove the seat belt tensioner bolt cap.
|
|
3.
|
Remove the seat belt tensioner bolt (2).
|
|
4.
|
Disconnect the front seat belt (1) from the front seat belt tensioner (3).
|
|
5.
|
Pull the lower edge of the seat back cushion finish panel rearward to access and remove the screw (1).
|
|
6.
|
Remove the two screws (1) that retain the seat cushion front cover (2) to the seat cushion frame.
|
|
7.
|
Remove the seat outer adjuster finish cover (3) and the seat cushion front cover (2) as an assembly.
|
|
|
•
|
Slide the outer adjuster finish cover over the seat belt tensioner.
|
|
|
•
|
Disconnect the seat switch electrical connectors.
|
|
8.
|
If replacing the outer adjuster finish cover, perform the following steps:
|
|
|
•
|
Pinch together the retainers that attach the outer adjuster finish cover (3) to the seat cushion front cover (2), and pull apart.
|
|
|
•
|
Transfer components as necessary.
|
|

|
If the outer adjuster finish cover (3) was separated from the seat cushion front cover (2), attach the two components.
|
|

Install the screw and tighten to
4 Nm (45 lb in)
.

|
3.
|
Install the outer adjuster finish cover to the seat by performing the following steps:
|
|
|
•
|
Slide the outer adjuster cover assembly over the seat belt tensioner.
|
|
|
•
|
Connect the seat switch electrical connectors, if equipped.
|
|
|
•
|
Secure the outer cover retainers to the seat.
|
|
4.
|
Install the two screws (1) that retain the seat cushion front cover (2) to the seat cushion frame.
|
|
5.
|
Pull the lower edge of the seat back cushion finish panel rearward and install the screw (1) and tighten to
4 Nm (45 lb in)
.
|
|
6.
|
Connect the front seat belt (1) to the front seat belt tensioner (3).
|
|
7.
|
Install the front seat belt tensioner bolt (2) and tighten to
45 Nm (33 lb ft)
.
