Rear Seat Latch Cable Replacement |
Removal Procedure |
1. |
Remove the rear seat. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
.

2. |
Lift up on the rear seat recliner handle to gain access to the fasteners. Refer to
Rear Seat Recliner Handle Replacement
|
3. |
Remove the fasteners from the rear seat back latch and pull the latch out from the seat back assembly.
|
4. |
Detach the latch cable from the latch.
|
5. |
If you are going to replace the cable, disconnect both sides of the latch cable located at the seat recliner mechanism.

6. |
Attach a mechanics wire to the cable to guide it through the seat back.
|
7. |
Pull the cable out from the seat back assembly.
|
Installation Procedure |
1. |
Attach a mechanics wire to the new cable to guide it through the seat back.
|
2. |
If you are replacing the cable, route the cable through the rear seat back.
|
3. |
Connect the latch cable to both sides of the recliner mechanism.
|
4. |
Connect the latch cable to the latch assembly.
|
5. |
Refer to
Fastener Caution
.
Install the latch to the seat back with a fastener and tighten to 3 Nm (26 lb in) Refer to Rear Seat Recliner Handle Replacement . |

Install the rear seat. Refer to
