Note

Replace all seat adjusters as an assembly. Replace both sides at the same time.


The adjusters are not in parallel alignment with each other.
1. Loosen the floor pan attaching bolts.

2. Position the seat fully forward.

3. Tighten the bolts.


The adjusters are new, not broken in. Operate the seat to the fully forward and fully rearward positions several times in order to work the tightness out of the channels.
The adjusters are improperly lubricated. Lubricate the adjuster channels.
The adjusters are bent or damaged. Replace the adjusters.
The adjusters are binding. Lubricate or replace the adjusters.
The seat components are loose, damaged, or broken. Repair or replace the defective components.
The seat mounting bolts are loose. Tighten the mounting bolts to specifications.
The adjuster lock bar spring is disconnected or broken. Repair or replace the spring.
The adjuster lock bar is sticking or binding. Lubricate the lock bar pivot or replace the adjuster.
The adjuster lock bar is sticking or binding. Lubricate the lock bar pivot.
The locking wire is too loose. Tighten the locking wire.
The locking wire is disconnected or broken. Repair or replace the locking wire.
The locking wire is too tight. Loosen the locking wire.
