Cars affected

All cars with removable towbar attachment.

Background

When fitting the towbar attachment, there is a danger of it not locking correctly to the coupling pin if the pin is dirty or inadequately greased.

Materials

16-30 20 476 Molycote 33 grease

Measure

Clean the coupling pin as necessary. Grease the coupling pin at every service interval with Molycote 33. Check that the towball unit is easy to fit and remove and that it locks securely.
