Pre-delivery service for China market
|
All Saab 9-5 intended for the China market.
A pre-programmed function, “Speed Warning ME” found on cars with ME specification is not to be activated on cars for the China market.
Perform pre-delivery service as follows:

Insert the main fuse 1.
|
|
4.
|
Anti-theft alarm, affix labels
|
|
5.
|
Saab Information Display: set the clock, program the SID.
|
|
7.
|
Check functionality of wash-wipe systems
|
|
8.
|
Check and adjust tyre pressures (including spare wheel)
|
|
9.
|
Check oil and fluid levels, inspect for leaks, top up. Engine, automatic transmission and power steering.
|
|
10.
|
Check coolant and fluid levels, inspect for leaks, top up. Cooling system, brake and clutch systems.
|
|
11.
|
Check battery voltage
|
|
13.
|
Jack up the car and inspect the underbody for transit damage.
Important! The corrosion protection must be intact.
|
|
14.
|
Remove the brake disc transit protection (certain markets only).
|
|
15.
|
Retighten threaded joints.
|
|
16.
|
TWICE control module, program
|
|
17.
|
SID control module, programming
|
|
18.
|
Diagnostic trouble codes, delete in all control modules.
|
|

|

Lengthy and repeated contact with mineral oil removes the natural oils from your skin, drying it out and causing irritation. If oil has been swallowed, do not provoke vomiting. Call a doctor.

Additional service point (17).
Program the SID control module functions “
Speed Warning ME” to “
NO” as follows:

Connect the Tech 2 diagnostic tool to the data link connector under the steering wheel.
|
|
•
|
Turn the ignition to ON and establish contact with the SID control module.
|
|
•
|
Select menu “
Programming”.
|
|
•
|
Select function “
Speed Warning ME”
|
|
•
|
Terminate contact with the SID control module.
|
|
•
|
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
|
