| To remove |

Raise the car.

Remove the lower front cover.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the screws holding the engine oil cooler.
|
|
| 4. |
Undo the nut connecting the hoses to the oil cooler.
|
|
| 5. |
Carefully separate the connection.

Plug the hoses.

| 7. |
Lower the oil cooler.

Check the roundness of the O-rings and change them as necessary. |

Fit the O-rings. Coat them with Gleitmo 805, part. No. 30 06 442.

Fit the oil cooler in reverse order. Fill the it with the recommended motor oil.
Tightening torques: Oil cooler pipe, nut: 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft) Charge air cooler/oil cooler: 8 Nm (5.9 lbf ft) |

When the oil cooler is fitted, start the engine and check for any oil leaks.

| 4. |
Switch off the engine and check the oil level after about 5 minutes.
