Scrupulous cleanliness is of the utmost importance when working on the fuel rail and injectors. Blow dry with compressed air. |

Reduce the fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse no. 19 while the engine is idling. When the engine stops, turn off the ignition and refit the fuse.

Remove the engine cover.
|
3. |
Loosen the turbocharger delivery pipe from the throttle body.
|
4. |
Detach the throttle cable from the throttle valve and remove the throttle body from the intake manifold. Move the throttle body carefully to one side.

5. |
Remove the upper intake manifold. Seal off the orifices to prevent dirt getting in.
|
6. |
Release the wiring from the fuel rail.
|
7. |
Release the fuel connections. Have an absorbent cloth or paper ready to catch any fuel that spills out.
|
8. |
Release the vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator.
|
10. |
Plug the nozzle orifices.

Smear the O-rings with acid-free vaseline to facilitate assembly. |

If necessary, fit new O-rings on the injectors. Remove the plugs from the orifices and fit the fuel rail with its injectors in position.
Tightening torque: 8 Nm (5.9 lbf ft) |
2. |
Fit the vacuum hose on the pressure regulator.

3. |
Fit the fuel connections.
|
4. |
Attach the wiring to the fuel rail.
|
5. |
Remove the plugs from the intake manifold orifices and fit a new gasket. Fit the upper intake manifold.
Tightening torque: 20 Nm (14.8 lbf ft). |
6. |
Fit the throttle body. Replace the seal if necessary. Fit the throttle cable. Check and adjust the cable if necessary.

7. |
Fit the turbocharger delivery pipe.
|
8. |
Start the engine and carry out an inspection for leakage.
|
9. |
Refit the engine cover.
