Adjusting the accelerator pedal cable

/ 9-5 (9600) / 1998 / 2. Engine / Trionic, 4-cyl OBDII / Adjustment/replacement / Adjusting the accelerator pedal cable

1.	Remove the engine cover.

2.	Undo the spring clip on the cable adjuster.

3.	Adjust the play in the cable by holding the pedal arm in its sprung-back position with one hand and pulling the cable with the other until it is taut. Then, slacken the cable to the closest groove in the ferrule.

4.	Fit the spring clip.
