Checking induction system integrity


Leaks in the induction and intake system can be detected by spraying starting gas at strategic points. If a leak is present

the engine speed will increase slightly as the gas enters the system.

Check for leaks at the following points:


• gaskets

• hoses and hose connections

• joints

• throttle body.
