Remove the cover from on top of the engine harness connector.

Unplug the top multi-connector.
|
|
| 3. |
Unplug the two-pin connector from the solenoid valve.
|
|
| 4. |
Undo both retaining nuts and loosen the windscreen cover sealing strip.
|
|
| 5. |
Carefully pull out the attaching plate and unhook it from the edge of the bulkhead. Lift up the unit.

Unplug the bottom multi-connector.
|
|
| 7. |
Mark the vacuum hoses and detach them from the valve.
|
|
| 8. |
Lift out the holder and drill out the pop-rivets.
|

| To fit |
| 1. |
Fasten the new valve to the holder with pop-rivets and replace the holder.
|
|
| 2. |
Connect the vacuum hoses to the valve.
|
|
| 3. |
Plug in the bottom multi-connector.
|
|
| 4. |
Fit the attachment plate.
|
|
| 5. |
Fit the windscreen cover sealing strip and tighten both retaining nuts.
|
|
| 6. |
Spray the two-pin connector with Kontakt 61 (part no. 30 04 520) and plug it into the solenoid.

|
| 7. |
Plug in the top multi-connector.
|
|
| 8. |
Fit the cover on top of the engine harness connector.
|
