start the fault diagnostic procedure.
Symptom: CHECK ENGINE lights up straight away.
Throttle control in limp-home mode.
Incorrect idle speed.
Cruise control inoperative.
Starting problems, especially when engine is cold.
Throttle Motor. Full PWM in Open Direction and no Motor Current.

Conditions
The following conditions apply for this DTC:
•
|
Crankshaft rotating and main relay voltage exceeds 10 V.
|
•
|
Throttle motor is receiving 100 % PWM in opening direction but no current.
|
Diagnostic help
An electrical fault in the throttle motor circuit is preventing the throttle from opening. The main relay voltage supplied to the control module is OK.

Check the wiring
Note

Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at various points and in different directions to detect any intermittent breaks or short circuits in the wiring. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
