Read the instructions below then start the fault diagnostic procedure.

Symptom: CHECK ENGINE comes on after two driving cycles. Possibly limited performance before DTC is generated.

Internal Control Module. Malfunction.


Fault symptoms


• CHECK ENGINE comes on after two driving cycles.

• Possibly limited performance before DTC is generated.


Conditions

The following conditions apply for this DTC:


• Engine running.

• Voltage from barometric absolute pressure sensor is lower than 0.2 V for more than 5 seconds.


Diagnostic help

Fault diagnosis concerns an internal control module fault as the sensor is mounted in the control module.

Diagnostic tool functions related to this fault are:


• Pressure sensor reading, in kPa.


With the engine switched off, the reading should correspond with those of the other two pressure sensors. Permissible difference: 10 kPa.

Check the wiring

Note

Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at various points and in different directions to detect any intermittent breaks or short circuits in the wiring. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
