Remove the engine cover.

Remove the cable adjustment retaining clip.
|

| 3. |
Adjust the free play in the cable by holding the pedal arm in the fully spring-loaded return position with one hand while moving the cable towards a taut position with the other hand. Then slacken it to the sleeve's nearest groove.

Fit the retaining clip.
