start the fault diagnostic procedure.
Symptom: CHECK ENGINE lights up straight away.
Throttle control in limp-home mode.
Fuel shut-off at engine speeds above 2200 rpm.
Incorrect idle speed.
Cruise control inoperative.
Pedal Position Sensor 1 and 2 Circuit. Adapted Sum Out of Range.

Conditions
The following conditions apply for this DTC:
|
•
|
Ignition switch in ON position.
|
|
•
|
Pedal completely released.
|
|
•
|
The aggregate of the voltages from pedal position sensors 1 and 2 exceeds the adapted aggregate by more than 6 %.
|

Check the wiring
|
Note
|
|
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at various points and in different directions to detect any intermittent breaks or short circuits in the wiring. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
