SID message ‘‘TIME FOR SERVICE”

The new software in the SID requires a different procedure to cancel the “TIME FOR SERVICE” message with the CLEAR button on the SID.
Note that the normal procedure using Tech 2 still applies.
To reset the “TIME FOR SERVICE” message on the SID (without using Tech 2), the following procedure must be followed:

1.

Press the CLEAR button once.
|
|
2.
|
Press the CLEAR button a second time and hold it pressed in for at least 8 seconds.
The SID will give two acoustic signals one shortly after the other. On the second signal the message “SERVICE” will start to flash.

3.
|
Start the engine to make sure that the message has been cancelled.
