Trip computer




General

There are two trip computer variants, SID 1 and SID 2.

The trip computers SID 1 and SID 2 have the following functions in common:


TEMP (outside temperature)

DTE (distance on remaining fuel).

FUEL (average fuel consumption)

SPD (average speed)


The SID 2 trip computer has the following additional functions:


DIST (distance to destination)

ARRIVAL (arrival time)

ALARM (time alarm)

SPD W (speed warning)


The trip computer is operated with the buttons under the display. To carry out the calculations required to display the above information, the SID unit uses the following information:


Time, “own” clock

Vehicle speed, unit km/h (mph)

Fuel level, unit litre (gallon)

Odometer reading, unit km (miles)

Fuel consumption since starting, unit ml





Function of SID 1 and SID 2 with ignition ON

CHECKING appears on the display for approx. 4 seconds; if no CHECK message is shown, the function which was previously selected will be shown unless:


the outside temperature is in the -3°C to +3°C range, in which case the outside temperature will be shown.


Operation of SID 1


Select function

Select functions with the (Arrow down) and (Arrow up) buttons. Press (Arrow down) to “scroll” down and (Arrow up) to “scroll” up.

Reset function

To reset the trip computer functions, hold down the CLEAR button for more than 4 seconds. Resetting to zero is indicated by a brief acoustic signal at the same time as the text “CLEARED” appears on the display for 2 seconds.

Operation of SID 2


Select function

By pressing (Dot-) or (Arrow+), all trip computer functions will start in 12 seconds.

To select from the menu of exclusively “SID 2” functions in the left-hand column, use the (Dot-) button.

To select from the right column, use the (Arrow+) button.

Reset function

To reset the trip computer functions, hold down the CLEAR button for more than 4 seconds. Resetting to zero is indicated by a brief acoustic signal at the same time as the text “CLEARED” appears on the display for 2 seconds.

Note

The values programmed in DIST/ARRIV are not reset.


Setting the values

Select the function and then hold the SET button down for more than 1 second, whereupon an acoustic signal will be heard.

Increase or reduce the value of the selected function by using the (Dot-) or (Arrow+) button.

Confirm the setting by pressing the SET button briefly.

If the function (ALARM, SPD W) is activated, this is shown by an asterisk * at the right of the top text row. To deactivate the function, press CLEAR and the asterisk disappears. Press SET to reactivate ALARM, SPD W, etc.

The set values are retained when the ignition is OFF.
