Angle sensor

Angle sensor

General

The angle sensor detects whether a car is attacked (lifted) and changes position, for example in an attempt to steal the wheels. It is placed under the passenger seat and connected to the following pins on the TWICE control module:

Voltage +12V

pin no. 10

Ground

pin no. 34

Signal

pin no. 19

Function

When the anti-theft alarm is armed, the angle sensor is activated when it receives power supply +12V from the control module to pin 1. When the angle sensor receives the power supply, the sensor confirms this by returning a unique code for the sensor concerned. If there is a fault on the sensor, TWICE is informed by a specific code from the sensor.

If the car is attacked, e.g. lifted, the sensor detects this and processes the information, then decides whether or not to trip the alarm. If the alarm is to be tripped, pin 19 on the TWICE control module is grounded via pin 4 of the sensor.

When the key is removed from the ignition, the angle sensor can be disconnected manually using the NIGHT PANEL button on the SID unit. The disconnection information is sent out on the bus and is read by TWICE so that the sensor can be disconnected.
