Mobilising the car
Mobilising the car |
General |
The car is mobilised as follows:
• |
When the key is inserted in the ignition and turned to the ST position (+50) to start the car, the car is mobilised when ON (+15 circuit) is passed.
|
• |
The car can also be mobilised with the remote control if the key is first turned to ON and then one of the buttons on the remote control is pressed once. This can be used in the case of a fault on the transponder or “receiver”.
If TWICE does not receive the identification code from the transponder, the message KEY NOT ACCEPTED is shown on the SID display. |
Function |
When the key is placed in the ignition and turned to the ON position (+15), the antenna unit receives the immobilizer data which is passed on to pin 39 on the TWICE control module. The control module verifies and approves the code and passes it on to the bus. If the code is valid, the engine management system reads it from the bus. The start function block is lifted and the starter relay turns via pin 4.
