Blocked washer nozzles

Cars concerned

Saab 9-5 M98, from chassis number W3050321 up to and including W3056193

Background

When using only water for washer fluid in cold temperatures, ice formation has been experienced in one or more washer nozzles on the engine hood.

When the water in the nozzle freezes, the check valve can jam in the lower position and block the outlet.

By replacing the washer nozzles with integrated check valve and instead fit the check valves in the branching of the washer hoses, the check valve is prevented from jamming.
