Wiring harness, passenger door


Replacement

Note

If the car is equipped with a radio other than a Saab original radio, check that the customer has the radio code before commencing work.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.



1. Remove the door trim, see

2. Unplug the connector between the door and the rear harness.

3. Detach the connector from the door.

4. Mark all the connectors accurately before unplugging them from their respective components.

5. Carefully remove the wiring harness without damaging cable ties, etc., that are to be refitted.

6. Lay out the new wiring harness the same as the old one and secure it in the same way. Make sure all grommets are sealing tight.

7. Plug in the connectors to their respective components. If in doubt refer to wiring diagrams/component lists for the respective system.

8. Attach the connector to the door and plug in the rear harness connector.

9. Refit the door trim, see

10. Connect the negative battery cable. Set the clock and program the radio code where applicable.


Important

Secure the wiring harness to prevent the risk of chafing and rattling.

Check all rubber seals to minimize the risk of leakage.


Note

Spray all the connectors with “Kontakt 61” to prevent copper rust from forming. Clean all the grounding points and apply them with Vaseline.
