If the car is equipped with a radio other than a Saab original radio, check that the customer has the radio code before commencing work. |

Disconnect the negative battery cable. |

Remove the headlining, see

2. |
Remove the left-hand trim from the luggage compartment, see
|
3. |
Mark carefully all the connectors
before disconnecting them from their components.
|
4. |
Unplug the connector by the LH rear wheel housing.
|
5. |
Carefully remove the wiring harness without damaging cable ties, etc., that are to be refitted.
|
6. |
Lay out the new wiring harness the same as the old one and secure it in the same way.
|
7. |
Plug in the connectors to their respective components. If in doubt refer to wiring diagrams/component lists for the respective system.

Plug in the connector.

Refit the headlining, see
, and luggage compartment trim, see

10. |
Connect the negative battery cable. Set the clock and program the radio code where applicable.

Secure the wiring harness to prevent the risk of chafing and rattling. |

Check all rubber seals to minimize the risk of leakage. |
||
Note | ||
Spray all the connectors sparingly (it must not “leak out” and stain the headlining, etc.) with “Kontakt 61” to prevent copper rust from forming and apply Vaseline to all the grounding points. |
